About the Role
We’re looking for a Kava Mixologist to join our growing team as we expand into alcohol-free social nightlife. This role combines the creativity of a bartender, the warmth of a barista, and the heart of a wellness educator.
As a Kava Mixologist, you’ll be behind the bar crafting herbal and hemp-infused beverages—including our signature kava mocktails—and helping guests feel at home in a space that celebrates connection, calm, and community.
You’ll often take the lead during weekend and evening shifts, making this an ideal opportunity for someone confident working independently, passionate about alternative wellness, and ready to co-create something new in McKinney.
Experience is great—but if you’re a fast learner with a passion for plants, we’ll train you in the art of herbal mixology.

Ideal Candidate (You!):
21+ with a love for people, plants, and purpose.
Passionate about holistic wellness, alternative medicine, or sober living.
Responsible and confident during solo shifts (especially evenings/weekends).
Experience in bartending, barista work, or drink-making (a plus, not required).
Background in herbalism, nutrition, or health coaching (preferred, not required).
Great communicator who thrives in community-oriented spaces.

Herbal Bartending & Beverage Crafting
Craft alcohol-free drinks, including kava mocktails, hemp infusions, and herbal elixirs (training provided).
Share the health benefits of each ingredient with curiosity and care.
Help evolve our alcohol-free bar menu with creativity and wellness insight.
Foster a chill, welcoming environment that feels more like a vibe than a transaction.
Barista Duties & Wellness Service
Offer guidance on wellness products based on customer goals and curiosity.
Educate guests about kava, adaptogens, and plant-based remedies in a friendly, accessible way.
Create a nourishing experience—both in what you serve and how you serve it.
Retail & Event Support
Manage POS, restocking, and cleanliness with pride during solo shifts.
Represent The Leaf at wellness markets and community pop-ups.
Support events like sober socials, wellness nights, and new product tastings.
21+ with a love for people, plants, and purpose.
