A successful Software Engineer will:

Work independently, as well as with others to design and implement custom software
Act as our internal consultant and subject matter expert
Take ownership of technical aspects of projects
Communicate and validate project requirements and deliveries with suppliers including integration testing and deployment recommendations
Initiate cost and efficiency improvements on project designs where possible
Update documentation for field changes and make sure documentation is adequate to handover project to customer and service department
Assist with production, installation, and service through technical advisory support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
A demonstrated knowledge of best practices for software development conventions and documentation
Software development experience across multiple programming languages, and preferably in multiple platforms
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, C# and programming PLCs
Knowledge of vision inspection, automated barcode reading, dimensioning and machine learning
Team player – able to work with all departments among Jacobs Engineering, suppliers, and with customers
