The Kitchen Director advances our goal of delivering crave-able food by effectively managing and developing personnel and enhancing our existing food production processes. Achieves throughput efficiency goals by maintaining a LEAN production environment, while upholding the highest standard of food safety. Helps to protect the integrity of the Chick-fil-A brand by ensuring that each guest receives only the highest quality product.

Requirements/Responsibilities
Collaboration with the Director Team – Works with other Directors to effectively meet and exceed the goals of the business. Actively coordinates and participates in brainstorming, problem solving, and future casting conversations with leadership members. Establishes and updates a kitchen strategy monthly that includes action items to reach business goals for both the kitchen, and the business at large.
Heart of House Talent Development and Culture – Develops a strategy to ensure that all members of the Heart of House staff are effectively trained and grow within the business by working closely with the Training Director. Meets with each leadership member within the Heart of House to ensure a process of professional development is occurring, both at the Team Member level, and the Manager level. Creates an environment of accountability within the Heart of House that fosters the value of an individual’s responsibility to one’s coworkers. Ensures that the Heart of House Team is positively aligned with the overall workplace culture we wish to have.
Quality, Speed of Service, Efficiency, and Food Safety – Conducts internal audits of processes and team members to ensure that food is being produced with the highest standard of food safety, while maintaining LEAN methods of production. Analyzes existing processes to enhance speed of service without compromising safety or efficiency. Taste tests the product on regular intervals to ensure food quality is of the highest standard, and in line with the Chick-fil-A brand.
Inventory Management – Conducts End of Month processes for the Heart of House. Ensures that ordering is performed both effectively and efficiently. Maintains an updated and accurate transfer log.
Education Requirement:
• Associates Degree (Preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in Kitchen Management or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership position
