Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for serving in a dual capacity which consists of guest relations and customer service, and administrative and marketing program support for the marketing team.

Having a small team, we know the value that each person can bring to the table. We’re looking for someone proactive who is happy to take on a wide variety of tasks each day. Someone who can easily jump from administrative tasks to marketing program support to customer relations and who is equally comfortable engaging with guests, restaurant managers and vendors.

Overview of Duties

Guest Relations/Customer Service:
Handle guest inquiries via phone and email
When needed, share guest feedback with restaurant staff
Process donation requests

Marketing & Sales Programs Support:

Online Reputation Management
Update restaurant information on online listings
Maintain current content on website
Engage with customer reviews and guest feedback

Mailing List Maintenance
Collect mailing slips and track add/removal requests

Menu Changes
Update seasonal menus, banquet menus and catering menus on website
Update digital menu boards

Track holiday cover counts to help determine marketing strategy
Update Holiday Guide with new content, keep Source Guide up-to-date

Code invoices and process monthly transfers from restaurants; track marketing spend on basic Excel sheet
Manage marketing supply inventory
Oversee production and distribution of various marketing materials
Package and ship marketing supplies to restaurant locations

Gift Card Program
Manage phone and website orders; process gift cards and manage gift card reporting
Gift Card materials tracking and ordering
Coordinate with our gift card providers

Position Details:
This is a non-exempt (hourly), entry-level position.

This is primarily an ‘in-office’ position, working at least 4 days per week, 8am-5pm, out of the Il Fornaio office in the Corte Madera Town Center. 1 day per week can be remote.

Must be eager, self-motivated and responsible.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Ability to multi-task all aspects of the position.
Proficient in use of Mac and PC software including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word.
Excellent attention to detail, follow through, and organization.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:
Photography skills
Experience in graphic design programs
Knowledge of Italian language and food
