The teams behind Ne Timeas Restaurant Group (flour + water, salumeria, central kitchen) and The Bon Vivants (Trick Dog), have joined forces to restore the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco's Upper Market neighborhood. Located in the basement of the historic Swedish American Hall, Cafe du Nord originally opened in 1907 and served as a beloved neighborhood watering hole to its guests for many decades. Steeped in San Francisco history, Ne Timeas Restaurant Group and The Bon Vivants are partnering to restore the bar and highlight the storied space by developing a new beverage and food program to uphold the legacy of the San Francisco icon. The new project combines the talents of two James Beard nominated hospitality groups -- Executive Chef Thomas McNaughton of Ne Timeas Restaurant Group and The Bon Vivants -- who are carefully curating a food and beverage program that will pay homage to American history. The menu will feature dishes and cocktails inspired by 100 years of San Francisco nightlife.
