H.F. Lenz Company, a nationally recognized consulting engineering firm, is seeking Engineering Interns for our 2027 Summer Internship Program. Our multi-disciplinary engineering teams are built on the core values of professional development, dedicated service, and collaboration. We are seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to work in our headquarter office in Conneaut, OH.

Requirements/Responsibilities
What You'll Get:
• Real-world skills in building systems design.
• Opportunities to work on real-life projects with top-notch clients.
• Valuable experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, and various other software tools.
• Opportunities to work with and be a part of multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Networking opportunities with industry recognized engineering staff.
What You'll Get to Do:
• Support a variety of engineering tasks related to electrical system design.
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design, focused in power distribution, lighting systems, telecom and security systems.
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.
What You'll Need:
• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Academic coursework that is relevant to building systems (power distribution; lighting) is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
