General Description: Prepares and bakes pastries for the club.

Job Description
* Prepare and cook all pastries and baked goods
* Assists in plating baked goods
* Consult daily with Executive Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef for daily MEP tasks
* Set up and service a la carte pastry station following the station and plating standards
* Follow set recipes as instructed by the Pastry Leaders
* Practice sanitation and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
* Contribute to the positive atmosphere and culture of the pastry kitchen
* Maintain all cleanliness standards
* Participate, support, and make recommendations for ongoing club programs with continuous improvement in product and services
* Other duties as assigned

Pastry Cook is offered as a full time restaurant job.

Prior experience as Pastry Cook, Pastry Chef, desert chef, line cook, prep cook highly desirable.
* Minimal formal experience is required; however, the desire to learn and posses an ambition to be an executive pasty chef is required.
* Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
* Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Must possess basic computational ability.
* Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions.
* Ability to physically self-demonstrate culinary techniques, i.e., cutting, cooking principles, plate presentation, and safety
* Must have a flexible schedule to be able to workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as a full-time employee.

Must be available during week, evenings, weekends and holidays

* Culinary degree with emphasis on baking & pastry is preferred, high school or equivalent education required.
* Previous experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining establishments, or pursuing a career in Pastry.

Physical Requirements
* Must be able to lift 35lbs, stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs daily
* Ability to bend and lift frequently
* Ability to use hands and kitchen equipment to prepare baked goods
* May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment
* May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces
* Noise level in the work environment can be occasionally loud
