Description
Craft & Vine is a deliberately different taproom and eatery. We are looking for a professional Prep Cook to cook and prepare a variety of food products including meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the daily prep lists.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Complete opening and closing checklist.
* Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties
* Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, oven, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
* Uses our standard recipes for preparation and portioning of all products; portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
* Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
* Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems or product shortage to kitchen managers.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
* Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen sanitation. Assists others in closing down the kitchen.
* Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager on duty.

Line Cook is generally offered as a part time restaurant job.
Prior experience as a cook, chef, prep cook, link cook, fry cook, grill cook, boh, or other back of the house part time restaurant job highly desirable.

Qualifications
* A minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
* At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity
* Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
* Be able to utilize software tools to manage food inventory, production and waste.
* Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 lbs
* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
* Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
