Kitchen Supervisor / Lead Line Cook / Line Manager supervises Kitchen Team to ensure high quality food is served, food cost is met, and labor is met. Effectively communicating and working with Kitchen Team and other members of the Management Teams to control the pace and flow of food being sent to the Dining Room.

Lead Line Cook / Line Manager generally scheduled 35-40 hours per week.
Education and/or years of experience:
• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Ability to speak English and Spanish at a conversational level preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience in a supervisory role
• 2-5 years total kitchen experience preferred
• Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment

• Communicate to Kitchen Team individually and in groups
• Oversee and execute Kitchen Team training
• Communicate to Management Team verbally and in writing
• Ensure performance expectations are met and Kitchen Team is coached and held accountable
• Provides documentation of performance (Monthly Performance Reviews, Job Well Dones)
• Oversee, coach, and guide Safety & Sanitation procedures including completion of Line Checks
• Supervises Kitchen Team in preparing high quality, fresh food by competing Prep Lists, ensuring recipes are followed, and placing orders following par guidelines
• Supports Kitchen Team in ensuring Health Department scores are above 90%
• Ensure recipes and portions are followed and food cost budget is met
• Completes Waste Log every shift to identify and address food cost issues
• Ensure schedule is followed including compliance with labor laws regarding rest and meal breaks
• Executes daily and weekly kitchen cleaning tasks
• Oversees opening and/or closing procedures are completed on time and properly
