La PanotiQ is a family-owned bakery cafe that brings the best of France to the Bay Area. We are looking for an outstanding baker to join our team. The baker is responsible for the daily preparation of our authentic French pastries and breads, and for preparing and plating our beautiful desserts. The baker is responsible for ensuring that pars for all products are executed daily, ensuring that our displays are fresh and appealing, and for following all food safety standards and procedures. As part of the La PanotiQ team, the baker will take part in cross-training in other FOH/BOH duties in order to support the team. Training in barista duties, BOH prep and meal preparation, and providing excellent guest service will be part of your experience at La PanotiQ.

• Ensures proper preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following production standards.
• Maintains waste logs, sanitation logs, and temperature logs.
• Ensures proper presentation, quality, and portion control of products.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handles foods items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner. Relays relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.
High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent required. Previous cafe experience preferred.

Positive attitude, friendly and upbeat personality. Good interpersonal skills, good time management, planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Able to perform simple mathematical calculations. Able to exercise sound judgment. Able to read, write and communicate effectively. Computer skills are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to frequently stand, stoop, kneel, lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and be exposed to cold temperatures
Food handling card required.
