Scope of Position:

Support execution of the academic programming for Impact 360 Institute’s Fellows experience. Assist in building and improving a rigorous, supportive academic environment that focuses on biblical worldview, leadership, and vocation, through academic mentoring, relational discipleship, grading coursework as needed, active-learning facilitation, and assisting with service team. Train Graduate Assistants in academic support roles.

Reports to: Senior Associate Director and Faculty Chair, Impact 360 Fellows

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Impact 360 Fellows in worldview and spiritual formation with responsibilities for maintaining learning platforms, mentoring students toward stronger academic practices, and grading and approval of student academic projects as assigned by supervisor.
2. Coach Fellows in the areas of academic development and spiritual formation through tutoring, online writing and research skills, and grading as needed. Maintain documentation related to student academic risk levels and progress; recommend action plans with focus on moving student’s status from Academic Support as necessary.
3. Support the Fellows Senior Associate Director, in the following ways:
a. Identify students who need additional academic assistance and communicate with students regarding academic assistance and make recommendations to supervisor.
b. Gather all reading, assignments, and academic requirements needed and compile in an integrated course plan. Share updated integrated course plan each semester with appropriate staff. Order, inventory, and distribute all academic materials.
c. Assist faculty in the creation of assignments and rubrics for those assignments and participate in experiential learning.
d. Serve as primary contact in Academic office for students and graduate assistants.
e. Remain up to date on Turabian and be available to staff and students as a resource.
f. Evaluate applicants forwarded by enrollment to be considered for Academic Support and make respective recommendations for action plans.
g. Provide administrative and educational resource support to faculty in the classroom.
h. Evaluate and recommend LMS technologies, systems, and processes to evaluate quality and effectiveness of Fellows academics programming.
4. Provide administrative assistance to the Instructor in the area of Service Teams
5. Co-Lead a Discipleship Group and disciple individual students
6. Train graduate team members in grading, and overall classroom best practices.
7. Maintain availability for students toward academic programming through
a. Academic tutoring, spiritual guidance, and assigned Service Team leadership responsibilities.
b. Provide transportation to off-campus learning experiences and multi-night retreats as assigned.
c. Support in the execution of the experiential learning with the Fellows staff team as needed (eg, Utah, spiritual surveys on campus, and Sacred Rhythms, etc.)
8. Support enrollment by reviewing enrollment essays and providing availability for Preview Days and student interviews


Requirements:

1. An evangelical believer practicing an active faith in a New Testament-based denomination and in unreserved agreement with the Institute’s Statement of Faith and Biblical Conduct and Lifestyle Standards. Must also:
a. Support the vision, values and philosophy of the Institute.
b. Understand and support the Community Standards established for the student learning and living community at Impact 360 Institute’s Fellows experience.
2. M.A. in education, philosophy, ethics, biblical studies, or related area required.
3. Minimum two years of teaching and/or ministry experience with college students.
4. Demonstrated ability to coach young adults in the areas of academic tutoring, discipleship, and leading teams.
5. Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding skills, interpersonal and communication skills; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and relating to all kinds of people.
6. Demonstrated characteristics of patience, approachability, dependability, and creativity.
7. Ability to build and implement effective systems toward sustainable solutions.
