Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana, with several very successful restaurants in the Silicon Valley, is hiring an experienced Sous Chef to join our great team.

Strong kitchen line cooking experience with great attention to recipe details, on the line execution and food safety are required.

Prior experience as Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook is needed.
Responsibilities include:
* . Directing food preparation and service for all meal periods
* . Recipe adherence and daily specials creation with an emphasis on Italian cuisine
* . Training and supervising kitchen staff
* . Adhering to food and facility safety requirements
* . Ensuring that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained
* . Completing kitchen administrative and human resource duties
* . Inventory, ordering, scheduling with cost control

Chef should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, concisely and respectfully with guests and employees.
