We are looking for a professional Sous Chef to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Sous Chef duties will consist of assisting the executive with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

* Set up stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Answer, report and fallow executive or sous chef instructions
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and a timely fashion
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Sous Chef Requirements
* Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
* Culinary school diploma (preferred)

* Serve safe managers food handlers (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

* A minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
* At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity
* Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
* Be able to utilize software tools to manage food inventory, production and waste.
* Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 lbs
* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
* Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
