Front of House Operations Manager Role Description:

The Front of House Operations Manager oversees and directs all front of house operations including the drive thru, front counter, and dining room (hospitality) with the goal of maintaining a remarkable guest experience in the restaurant during all hours of operation and fostering a positive, growth-oriented team culture. As with all leadership positions, coaching, mentoring and growing other leaders is an essential component. It is imperative in this position to ensure that all information and expectations are flowing from Director to Manager to Assistant Manager to Shift Leader. This position is central to the success of the team and business.

Responsibilities and Expectations

● Understand the mission, vision, and values of Chick-fil-A Quakertown
● Embody the values: teamwork, personal excellence, customers first, humility, integrity, maturity, servant leadership, and continuous improvement of self and the operation ● Continuous self improvement through reading and self evaluation
● Maintain expertise on all Chick-fil-A procedures and operational requirements via Pathway training, ServSafe Certification, reading, seminars and the like
● Expected to pursue continuous improvement of current procedures with the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing waste, controlling food and paper costs, and improving the guest experience. Utilize the best practices of other operations to improve our own.
● Oversee the development of strategic plans for all areas of the Front of House: Drive Thru. Front Counter, Hospitality, and Training
● Collaborate with the BOH Operations Director to ensure that the cleanliness of the facility, the quality of food served, and the speed and quality of service provided exceeds guest expectations
● Actively recruit, coach and develop future leaders for the restaurant
● Coach and mentor current restaurant leaders (Assistant Managers and Shift Leaders) so that they are prepared and equipped to develop an excellent team and provide a superior guest experience
● Meet regularly with Managers, Supervisors, Assistant Managers and Team Leaders to direct the implementation of policies and procedures, address issues, and develop leaders ● Responsible for the implementation of all policies of the team member handbook ● Provide timely feedback and discipline: issue verbal and written warnings as required and no more than 24 hrs after they occur. Document all disciplinary and feedback measures ● Oversee employee performance evaluations on a 180 day basis
● Assist the HR/Talent Director by advising on hiring needs and conducting interviews as necessary
● Know and comprehend the numbers: speed of service; transaction counts; sales; check averages; labor; productivity; CEM scores; food and paper cost; customer comments and the goals for each of these categories
● Utilize contests to drive incremental sales
● Collaborate with the Training Director to implement new procedures and product and equipment rollouts
● Oversee all third party food safety and operational evaluations (Steritech, health inspections, etc) and utilize as learning experiences
● Assign RQA’s to ensure service and production requirements are being met ● Ensure all food safety measures are enforced:
● Proper hand washing(twice for bathroom) and glove use
● Employee illness policy adhered to
● Food and product is rotated according to FIFO
● All holding/refrigeration equipment is functional, cleaned and sanitized properly, and kept in good repair (shakebase dispenser, Icedream machine, front counter fridges, ice bins, coke towers, coffee brewer and server, tea brewer, small wares) ● Appearance of product served matches quality control photos
● Chick-fil-A recipes and proper portioning of ingredients are followed
