Description
The VP of Operations is responsible for the entire business, including long-term goals, coaching and influencing the leaders on their team, and managing the overall operations and systems of the organization. The VP of Operations serves on the Executive Team and provides oversight of the vision and direction of the entire business as agreed upon with the Operator.

Works in an Operator-like role when the Operator is not present, taking full responsibility for the entirety of the business and using their influence to lead the organization through others.

Is responsible for identifying leadership that should be recognized for their commitment and performance as well as leadership that require specific coaching or corrective action. The VP of Operations is expected to hold all team members and leadership accountable to the standards set up by Chick-fil-A and as such are expected to model these standards for the rest of the team.

The VP of Operations over-sees and manages the organization’s administrative functions and responsibilities. The VP of Operations is expected to participate in the continual evaluation, coaching, encouragement, and development of the entire Chick-fil-A Team, particularly those on their leadership teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

*Primary role is to influence and develop others
*Serves as a mentor and coach to the leadership team
*Leads by example; expected to exhibit the CORE 4 and 2nd Mile Service and ensures that
every team member is exhibiting these behaviors
*Maintains an organizational-wide vision and business plan with the Operator and other VPs
*Offers perspective on monthly goals and vision as the Operator develops the goals and
vision for the organization
*Executes on long-term vision and goals
*Supervision and accountability for the leadership team
*Weekly meeting with the Operator and Executive Team
*Conduct interviews as needed
*Familiarity with all operational systems and procedures and continual assessment of these
systems/procedures
*Accepts full responsibility and accountability for the entire business
*Must be fully capable of following the opening and closing procedures and understands the
back-office procedures and computer applications as needed to effectively help run a shift*

*Fully capable of running the entire business by themselves
*Fully capable of executing end of month procedures
*Must mentor and coach the leadership team
*The VP of Operations must show steady progress on their individual development
*Certified in Safety and Security to ensure the safety of the team
*Certified in Mobile and Chick-fil-A Online Ordering (catering)
*Certified in all eTrain modules pertaining to their area of responsibility
*Must report to work in professional apparel
*Leading of the weekly leadership team meetings
*Mandatory participation in assigned ongoing training
*In the event that the VP decides to seek other employment, full responsibility for
development of a replacement is assumed
*Responsibility for training on and compliance with all food safety and labor laws
*ServSafe Certified
