The right person for this role will be:

A strategic partner
As the Director responsible for training, you will instill new and existing team members with the skills and enthusiasm they need to uphold the highest standards in customer service and hospitality, food safety, sanitation, and organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a training plan to equip our team members to have a great first 100 days on the job. A majority of your role as a director will be focused on the big picture goals of the restaurant, creating budgets, and facilitating partnerships with external partners and your fellow leaders. You will build a team of trainers and give them the plans, tools, and skills they need to reach their goals. You will regularly evaluate training efficacy and make necessary changes to provide excellent training experiences to our team.

As Training Director, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

All aspects of training, including:

Overseeing and creating a team member experience that promotes a sense of belonging and value
Mastering all knowledge and skills of every position in the restaurant
Developing a team of trainers
Scheduling and coordinating training for all new hires
Creating and reporting on training plans for all team members
Working to improve our training program constantly
Facilitating training sessions and orientations
Assisting HR in sourcing, hiring, and managing talent
Facilitating training sessions at quarterly team member Development Days
Creating contests and employee engagement activities to promote growth and a fun, positive work environment
Providing daily feedback to team members and leaders to promote growth and to meet our business goals
Setting strategic annual training goals and budget
Connecting regularly with all leaders to guarantee excellence in communication for all initiatives related to the operations of the business
Being a good steward of the business, which means protecting our culture and looking for ways to maximize our investment
