WPA is seeking a Health Advocate assistant who has significant call center service experience in the health field and is comfortable working directly with doctor’s offices and medical facilities over the phone. This position works alongside all Wellness Plan Health Advocates as a research administrative assistant to locate doctors in a members area, negotiate cash pay pricing with Doctors offices, in addition to scheduling appointments on behalf of members. This position is full-time employment Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm at our east Boca Raton area office.

Job Description: You must be a self-starter and have the ability to act effectively while dealing with Doctor’s Office / Healthcare Facilities while you contact them to negotiate pricing on behalf of the WPA members. You must be able to work well with peers in other departments including Supervisors, Health Advocates, Prescription Advocates, and executive management to assist customers in having a positive experience and improve overall customer experience and a timely research response to the member. You will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics.

• Locating a healthcare provider for treatment such as: Doctor, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Specialist, etc.
• Scheduling those provider appointments
• Services to assist in negotiating existing medical bills
• Locating medical equipment at the lowest possible price
The ideal candidate will possess the following Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent over the phone service skills, Call Center experience is a HUGE PLUS!
• Negotiation skills with medical facilities are a HUGE PLUS!
• Set correct expectations and drive resolution through effective communication with medical facilities and Doctors offices
• Professional and organized with 1+ years of experience in the customer service field or medical field
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment handling up to 50 outbound calls per day.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent organizational skills
• Outstanding work ethic and team work
• Strong Computer & Typing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft outlook and Data Entry
• MUST BE A SELF STARTER! (Motivated, takes pride in the work completed, and takes initiative)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Associates OR Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years experience in a Customer Service Center environment
• Experience in working with Doctors offices, Medical Facilities or with medical bill negotiation is a plus
• Spanish speaking is a plus
