La PanotiQ is a family-owned bakery cafe that brings the best of France to the Bay Area. We are looking for an outstanding kitchen team member to join our team. The kitchen team member is responsible for preparing ingredients for use in recipes, and for preparing sandwiches, entrees, soups, and other menu items for our guests. BOH team members often assist in the preparation of catering orders in addition to café orders.
As part of the La PanotiQ team, the kitchen team member will take part in cross-training in FOH duties in order to support the team. Training in barista duties and providing excellent guest service will be part of your experience at La PanotiQ.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by preparing food items consistently and adhering to all recipe standards
• Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines
• Complete kitchen tasks such as measuring, mixing, chopping, weighing, and cooking.
• Store and properly handle raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies
• Wash dishes and pots as needed
• Operate dish washing equipment as needed
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
• Empty trash containers as required
• Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition
• Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines
• Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
Knowledge / Skills
• 3 months of restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time.
• Basic English reading and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.

Physical
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to frequently stand, stoop, kneel, lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and be exposed to cold / elevated temperatures
Food handling card required.
