The Restaurant Assistant General Manager is responsible for maintaining a positive outward appearance to guests and the greater public by ensuring excellent customer service and displaying expert knowledge of our company.

The Assistant Manager helps managers lead a cohesive team by training new staff and implemented service standards and systems.

The Assistant Manager is expected to go above and beyond to make sure our service is seamless and to rectify any situation that results in unsatisfied customers. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for opening and/or closing, including correct cash handling, record keeping, and securing the money before leaving.

Restaurant Assistant General Manager is generally offered as a full time opportunity.

- Serving customers quickly and efficiently with a smile and positive, upbeat attitude.
- Leading FOH team members and encouraging the team to create an excellent dining experience.
- Opening duties, which include: Cleaning floors, tables, chairs, counter and anything that was missed the previous night. Restocking when necessary. Setting counter and making sure that everything is stocked and prepared for service including all condiments and “to go” materials. Ensuring there is enough change in drawers for the day.
- Closing duties, which include: Putting away materials, sanitizing all work surfaces, counting money, and entering information into the Daily Register Count. Securing money and register keys are in safe.
- Communicating with managers about specific service related issues to make sure customers are happy and return to dine with us.
- Overseeing refunds and compensating unsatisfied guests.
- Stocking as necessary and alerting manager when low on materials.
- Attention to detailing and aesthetic presentation of all aspects of the shop from retail shelves to the aesthetic of menu item presentation.
- Assistance with butcher and kitchen as needed.
- Maintenance of all storage areas, upstairs and downstairs.
- Any additional duties as defined by managers.

Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year experience working in a restaurant or retail
- High school diploma/GED recommended

Physical Requirements
- This positions requires an employee who can work walking and standing for 8 hours a day 40 hours a week.
- Lift approximately 25 pounds
- You must be able to climb a ladder
