Belcampo Meat Co Butcher will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the
butcher counter as well as the primary point of contact for guests to interact with, as well as answer questions appropriately and professionally. The Butcher will be key in assuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction as well as a great working environment for all Belcampo Meat Co employees.

Minimum Qualifications

- 1+ years in retail meat cutting and/or kitchen, as well as customer service
- Experience or interest in working with sustainable meats
- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelors Degree recommended (relevant
major encouraged)
- Food Handler’s Certificate preferred

Working knowledge of animal anatomy and cooking techniques/recipes.

Fill/maintain/merchandise meat case (as directed by Head Butcher).

Consistent retail cutting (from sub-primals to case-ready) and customer service, understanding of cuts and animal rearing process.

Coordinate with Chef and Head Butcher to assure maximum product (meat) usage.

Assure highest level of customer service, including fielding/handling customer complaints and questions as required.

Adherence to health and safety regulations; enforcement of safe instore practices.

Maintain an eye for detail, a clean workplace, and constant communication with Head butcher and peer butchers.

Store maintenance including fix-its, initiative to keep department clean, well-stocked and organized.

Continuous thirst for knowledge expanding to note taking and extracurricular learning; willingness to learn new techniques from Head Butcher.

Contributes to team effort by going above and beyond duties described here.
