The Operations Manager shall perform various duties and undertake various responsibilities consistent with Belcampo values. The Operations Manager will assist the Butchery Directors with the day-to-day operations of the plant including scheduling of employees. The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all product shipping, including any and all associated logistics. The Operations Manager will be the in-house Human Resources representative and will maintain accurate records of all employees as well as Worker’s Compensation claims. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Belcampo Butchery’s business.

1. Create and manage systems to ensure efficient and consistent operations.
2. Supervise the creation of all scheduling, including employee, harvest, shipping, and production schedules.
3. Communicate between clients and Butchery Directors/Managers all relevant and necessary information to ensure that customer expectations are consistently met. Manage the scheduling of pick-up/deliveries. Ensure all customer paperwork is in order at the time of drop off and pick up.
4. Maintain accurate records of all processes and customers for invoicing. Update monthly production reports as needed. Approve and code incoming vendor invoices for payment.
5. Assist all Department Managers in cost analysis for products, equipment, materials, etc. as needed. Keep financial records of all purchasing and assist the Senior Director in minimizing expenses in the Plant. Compile monthly reports, and P&L reconciliations.
6. Oversee HR at Butchery including but not limited to: Execution of performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, promotions and terminations; Maintenance of accurate records for all employees; Keep up-to-date job descriptions of current positions; Accurately investigate and submit Workers Compensation Claims and maintain files for open and closed cases; Report all work-related injuries to OSHA at the end of the year. Serve as the in-house Safety Manager, and maintain and implement the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
7. Research and analyze information in order to solve problems as they develop, and improve Butchery operations in general.
8. Assist QA Manager in ensuring that all relevant data is accurately compiled so as to comply with FSIS and third party auditor standards.
9. Research and analyze client requests to determine feasibility and cost implications.
10. Manage the Inventory Analyst, and E-Commerce Manager to oversee the inventorying of all products and communicate status with clients.
11. All other duties as assigned by management

Job Competencies, Qualifications, and Requirements

- A working knowledge of all Butchery processes, including slaughter, fabrication and further processing

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Agriculture, Animal Science, etc.) or 4+ years working experience in a similar industry required
- Valid driver license required
- Must pass drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements
- This positions requires an employee who can work standing/sitting for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Lift approximately 30+ pounds
- The main location for this position is at the Belcampo Butchery in Yreka, California
